Origins Learning Community

Personalized Mentoring Services

At Origins, we believe so strongly in the power of mentoring, we will support anyone, regardless of income. We want to help  infant, toddler and preschool teachers grow professionally and overcome classroom challenges they face. We have been able to help teachers bond with children and families better and transform their classroom environments. Our standard price for mentoring is $30.00 an hour. If this is something you cannot afford, please contact us about available scholarships. We want to make this happen for you!

Mentoring includes:

  • A personal mentor that supports and challenges you
  • One-on-one individualized clock-hour training
  • Regularly scheduled visits to the classroom by your mentor for in-classroom couching and observations
  • Additional resources and guidance from your mentor

Clock-Hour Training

Don't just train...change the way you teach! We have taken the traditional clock-hour trainings and transformed them to reflect the importance of supporting children's social-emotional development in everything we do. A few of many  training topics we offer are:

Show Me Safe/ Show Me Healthy

Cooking with Heart

Art for Everyone

Multiculturalism with Meaning

Toilet Learning...Not Training

Using Nature to Nurture

Motivate with Mathematics

Our standard price for group trainings varies depending on the training topics and length. Part of the proceeds go towards the Personalized Mentoring Program. If your center or program  wants to learn about specific prices, please contact us for pricing options.

Our Early Childhood Education programs support teachers making less than $30,000 a year. Many teachers we work with make less than $15,000 and are on welfare. Your donation goes into a scholarship fund for teachers who cannot afford yearly  professional development training even though it is a Texas state requirement.  Thank you for your support.
